The news of “Heartbleed”, an internet security vulnerability, has members
asking “Is my data secure?”|
Cascade Federal Credit Union computer servers are completely unaffected
by Heartbleed. eBranch, Mobile Access, ePay and eStatements have all been
verified NOT to be vulnerable, and the Credit Union Co-Op and its partners
also report being secure against Heartbleed.
However, in light of this security flaw, we strongly recommend members change
your CFCU passwords if the same passwords are used on any other sites that
may be affected by Heartbleed.
To maintain eBranch security CFCU monitors for unusual activity on
your account. The enrollment process requires you to provide information
- answering three challenge questions and choosing a picture. Once
enrolled, you add a layer of protection to your account, and no further
action is necessary.
Then if any unusual activity or access attempts are detected, we will
ask you to verify your identity using the challenge questions and picture.
Thank you for using eBranch.
